Summer Camp 2011

| Summer Camp Day One On Monday, we talked about sensory integration disorders. We looked at the brain and explained what happens in your brain when you get too much information all at once, and how that can make you feel. We then talked about ways to calm your brain and your body down when you get overwhelmed. |

| Summer Camp Day Two Tuesday was our "Art in the Park" day. We went to Coonskin park and did some sensory based art activities including painting with noodles and painting to music. |

| Summer Camp Day Three On Wednesday, we learned about shopping, money management, and cooking. The children were given money, taken to shops on Capitol Street where they purchased ingredients, and assisted in preparing their lunch for the day. They also made homemade ice cream. |

| Summer Camp Day Four For Thursday, we all attended the South Charleston Rec Center for a Pool Party. We taught them water safety and Pool etiquette. The children had a great time and really enjoyed getting to soak their therapists. |
